Following our road trip to Monterey, we returned to San Francisco for the last day of our California vacation. We checked back into the Fairmont and in the morning kept our rental car to drive over to our family photoshoot.
I had booked us a photo session via Flytographer, which is a service that connects you with local photographers in destinations around the world. We were matched up with Sandro, who met us at Baker Beach for a one hour shoot. He was a pleasure to work with and made us feel very comfortable posing for a variety of shots around the beautiful beach which overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge.

We received our photos about a week later and they were a perfect memento of our family trip. It was also a belated Mother’s Day gift to myself. Moms out there will probably relate to having a phone full of photos of baby with other people and virtually none with themselves, so this was an opportunity for me to document “Proof of Mom”.

After our session, we made our way to Fisherman’s Wharf for a lunch break before we were due to return our car. Along the way, we drove down the famous Lombard Street.
At Fisherman’s Wharf, We made another requisite stop at In-N-Out and then walked to Pier 39 to show Teddy the sea lions.

After returning our rental car, we trekked back up Mason Street and hung out at the hotel until dinner time. We enjoyed our final meal in San Francisco at Nara Sushi.
That capped off our successful journey to the west coast with Teddy. Our flight the next morning was uneventful but we had a stressful moment when Teddy’s travel crib did not arrive with our luggage upon landing in Toronto. Fortunately it was delivered to our home the next day by Porter Airlines so I don’t have any lasting negative memories from the trip.

Next up on the blog: a recap of our local trip to Prince Edward County (with our dog Gizmo!) and then plans for Portugal!
