Sunrises & sunsets around the world

Thanks to Rebecca Goes Rendezvous and Chalk & Cheese Travels, I’ve got a new post idea. Both of these great blogs recently shared their top 10 favourite sunrise and sunset photos from around the world, so I was inspired to take a look back through my albums to see what my collection looks like. To be honest, I’m not a huge sunrise or sunset junkie, as I typically like to enjoy many long hours of sleep. However, I have managed to capture a few decent shots from my travels!

The header image is sunrise in Chiang Khong, Thailand — our stop before we departed on a Mekong River slow boat toward Laos.

  1. That’s a pretty nice collection, especially for someone who isn’t a sunset chaser. The one you took in Vietnam is sublime.

  2. Beautiful pics! At least the sunsets in Asia don’t interfere with your sleep since they’re so early.

  5. The photo of the Tonle Sap lake is my favourite. I also stopped there for a while during my stay in Siem Reap, saddened by the harsh living conditions of these floating villages.

    1. It was a humbling experience to visit Kompong Khleang. I had the chance to go on a tour with an organization that runs a school and medical clinic there.

    1. If only if it didn’t take so much effort and sacrifice of sleep to get the best photos. Sunsets are more amenable to my schedule. I think the ones from SE Asia are my favourite as well
